DescriptionKforce has a client that is seeking an Accountant I in San Francisco, CA.Summary:We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to support revenue accounting, financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end close activities. This role is responsible for reviewing revenue-related transactions, maintaining accurate accounting records, supporting financial reporting requirements, and ensuring compliance with accounting policies and revenue recognition standards. The ideal candidate has a strong accounting foundation, experience working with financial systems, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities:* Review contracts, orders, and financial documentation to ensure accurate accounting treatment* Support revenue accounting and revenue recognition activities* Prepare and post journal entries and account adjustments* Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies* Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities* Analyze financial transactions and ensure compliance with accounting policies* Assist with financial reporting, variance analysis, and management reporting* Review and validate accounting data for accuracy and completeness* Maintain accounting records and supporting documentation* Support internal and external audits by providing required schedules and documentation* Collaborate with Finance, Operations, Sales, and Accounting teams to resolve issues and improve processes* Assist with special projects and process improvement initiativesRequirements* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance* 2+ years of accounting experience* Experience with Oracle or a major ERP system* Experience reviewing contracts and financial documentation* Understanding of accounting principles and revenue recognition concepts* Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills* Strong organizational and time-management skills* Strong communication and teamwork abilities* Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment* Ability to work independently and collaborativelyPreferred Qualifications:* Revenue accounting experience* Advertising, media, or digital revenue experience* Salesforce experience* Experience with Operative One or similar business systems* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills* High attention to detail and accuracyKey Competencies:* Accounting* Revenue Recognition* Financial Reporting* Account Reconciliations* Month-End Close* Oracle ERP* Microsoft Excel* Financial Analysis* Contract Review* Problem Solving* Attention to Detail* Cross-Functional CollaborationJob TypeContractCompensation39 - $39
