Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Banker in San Ramon, CA for a direct hire opportunity in a professional branch banking environment. This role is ideal for a customer-focused banking professional with teller experience, new account opening expertise, and a strong ability to recommend financial products and services that support client needs.

The Banker will assist consumer and business clients with account opening, account maintenance, teller transactions, service requests, and relationship-building activities. Key Responsibilities

- Open, maintain, and close consumer and business accounts, including checking, savings, CDs, IRAs, and related account types.
- Interview and profile clients to identify financial needs and recommend appropriate banking products and services.
- Cross-sell bank products, refer clients to internal partners, and support branch profitability and growth goals.
- Process teller transactions as needed while maintaining accuracy, confidentiality, and a strong balancing record.
- Ensure all new account documentation is accurate, approved, uploaded, and compliant with bank policies and banking regulations.
- Provide professional, courteous service to clients in person and by phone while resolving inquiries and supporting customer retention.

Compensation and Benefits

- Compensation: $20.00 to $31.90 per hour.
- Job Type: Direct hire.
- Location: San Ramon, CA.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Open and support new consumer accounts and business accounts in a branch banking environment.
- Process teller transactions and account maintenance requests accurately and efficiently.
- Recommend banking products and services based on client needs and relationship-building conversations.
- Maintain compliance with banking policies, procedures, documentation standards, and applicable regulations.

- Minimum of 3 years of banking teller experience preferred for senior-level consideration.
- Experience opening consumer accounts is required.
- Experience opening basic or complex business accounts is required depending on level.
- Strong knowledge of branch banking operations, new account procedures, proper account titling, and required documentation.
- Working knowledge of banking regulations, including Bank Secrecy Act requirements and information security practices.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and banking software or core banking systems.
- Strong customer relations skills with the ability to communicate professionally with clients, employees, and internal partners.
- Excellent judgment, attention to detail, confidentiality, and ability to accept responsibility.
- Ability to cross-sell products and services while maintaining a consultative, client-focused approach.

Preferred Qualifications

- Prior supervisory or back-up supervisory experience is preferred for senior-level consideration.
- Experience supporting Treasury Services such as remote deposit capture, armored service, or courier service is a plus.
- Experience with trust, estate, IRA, CD, and business account documentation is preferred.
- Proven ability to generate new business, identify at-risk clients, and support customer retention goals.
