SKILLS REQUIRED

Primary (Must-Have):

• 12+ years of comprehensive hands-on enterprise network support and engineering experience.

• Advanced design, configuration, and deployment expertise with Cisco and Fortinet/FortiGate hardware and routing/switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS).

• Extensive deployment experience with SD-WAN technologies (Cisco Viptela and Fortinet SD-WAN) alongside enterprise wireless architectures.

• Expert-level administration of Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW) including Fortinet (NSE 4-8 level), Palo Alto (PCNSE level), and Cisco ASA/Firepower, including complex VPN implementations.

• Proven engineering experience within cloud environments, specifically Microsoft Azure Virtual Networking (VNet peering, VPN gateways, ExpressRoute).

• Valid professional-level certifications: Cisco CCNP and/or Fortinet NSE 4-8.

Secondary (Good to Have):

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and network automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or Python.

• Familiarity with network monitoring and analysis tools like Wireshark and NetFlow for deep-packet analysis.

• Working knowledge of compliance frameworks affecting network security standards (e.g., PCI-DSS, HIPAA).

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking an elite Senior Network Engineer to join our enterprise infrastructure team on a 100% onsite basis in Beachwood, OH. This critical role acts as the top-tier engineering authority responsible for designing, deploying, and governing highly secure, scalable LAN/WAN, wireless, and SD-WAN infrastructures. The successful incumbent will bridge the gap between traditional robust hardware, next-generation firewall security, and modern Azure cloud networking, driving the continuous modernization and reliability of our global enterprise network.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, configure, and deploy comprehensive enterprise-grade Cisco routing/switching, SD-WAN (Viptela/Fortinet), and wireless solutions across the environment.

• Administer and scale secure cloud network topologies within Microsoft Azure, managing VNet peering, VPN gateways, and ExpressRoute circuits.

• Provide expert-level configuration and policy management for Fortinet FortiGate, Palo Alto, and Cisco ASA firewalls, enforcing strict NAT, security policies, and advanced threat prevention.

• Act as the highest escalation tier for complex network outages, utilizing Wireshark and NetFlow to rapidly isolate and resolve BGP, OSPF, and VPN connectivity issues.

• Architect and optimize WAN/LAN infrastructure, maintaining rigorous network performance monitoring, capacity planning, and compliance alignment (PCI, HIPAA).

• Author and maintain pristine enterprise documentation, including detailed dynamic network diagrams, device configurations, inventory management (IPAM), and operational runbooks.

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional infrastructure teams and stakeholders, presenting technical solutions with exceptional verbal and written English communication skills.

• Drive operational efficiency by leveraging automation concepts and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Python, Ansible, or Terraform where applicable.
