Position Summary: Our Hartwell, Georgia, factory measures an impressive 500,000 square feet. It represents our most versatile facility to date, enabling us to switch product lines with greater speed and efficiency. Together, we take immense pride in producing and distributing the brands that our customers trust and that bring joy to pets' lives. Following the training period, all Operators are initially assigned to night shift and participate in a periodic, seniority-based shift bid. The Production Operator rotates job responsibilities on shift between one of four teams, Meat-Prep, Processing, Retorts, and Packaging. You will own a designated area of responsibility within their team, but also be responsible for understanding and covering all job tasks within their team on a routine rotation basis (and for covering similar job functions throughout the plant as needed). Responsible for machine operation, shutdown, changeover, clean-up, and day-to-day troubleshooting to allow for production of safe, quality production Follow all factory safety and work rules to avoid putting yourself and fellow associates at risk of injury Efficiently complete team tasks and responsibilities to safely produce a product while keeping quality standards at top of mind Maintain basic condition of equipment through Cleaning, Inspection, & Lubrication activities Provide on-shift troubleshooting support to identify and correct technical breakdowns and minor stoppages Ensure Cleaning-Inspection-Lubrication activities are appropriately allocated to maintenance budget Work safely and effectively in an environment where you may experience hot or cold temperatures, work with raw materials used to make pet food, and work involving ladders, stairs, or heights.
