Maintenance Technician - Level 2

Maintenance TechnicianThe Maintenance Technician is responsible for providing support in general maintenance, preventative maintenance, and the upkeep of the entire service center. Responsibilities include maintaining all Facility/Material Handling Equipment, and ground equipment through preventative maintenance schedules while providing additional support to the maintenance department as required. Pay rate: $21.00 / hour. Available shifts: Sunday - Wednesday: 9pm - 7:30am (3rd Shift).Responsibilities include troubleshooting and repairing basic electro-mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic problems, ensuring all assigned equipment is fully operational at the beginning of shift, operating lift trucks, maintenance equipment, grounds equipment, and company vehicles, performing extensive maintenance procedures including conducting daily preventative maintenance inspections, properly following critical Lock Out / Tag Out actions while working on equipment, following company and OSHA safety procedures, supporting Junior Technicians through basic facility/grounds maintenance, supporting Senior Technicians through troubleshooting and repair of extensive electro-mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic problems, reading, writing, conducting business related mathematics, analyzing data, utilizing a Computerized Maintenance Management System as required, communicating/interacting amicably with fellow associates, team members, supervisors, and managers.Physical demands include standing (stationary position) during scheduled hours, communicating using various methods, kneeling, stooping, using stairs, reaching, pulling, climbing ladders, and moving weights of 0-25 pounds constantly, 25-40 pounds occasionally and over 40 pounds seldomly with or without assistance as needed, ambulating 30-40 feet in the air, and working in a fall protection harness.Required education and experience: High School Diploma or GED, minimum of 2 years previous Material Handling Equipment maintenance experience or 4 years previous maintenance experience in a relevant field, knowledge of AC/DC Electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems, advanced understanding of general building maintenance procedures and techniques.Work environment: This position works in a warehouse setting, with limited outdoor exposure during the workday. This role routinely uses standard warehouse maintenance equipment such as scissor lifts, genie booms, drills, multimeters, welders, and general hand/power tools.
