Retail Sales Associate

Position Summary We are seeking entry‑level, full‑time Retail Sales Associates to join our pawn store locations nationwide. The role involves greeting and engaging customers, assisting with sales and loan transactions, and providing excellent customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. Compensation Hourly wage $15.25 to $18.00 plus commission up to 8% on transactions, which could average an additional $2.34 per hour on top of the hourly rate. Auto‑enrollment in FirstCash 401k after 6 months. FirstCash Pet Insurance program. Responsibilities Greets and engages customers, develops rapport, and recommends appropriate financial solutions. Performs non‑management open/close procedures. Maintains a clean, stocked sales floor and well‑displayed merchandise. Conducts sales and loan transactions in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Handles cash and negotiable items in accordance with company policy. Answers incoming calls per company standards. Communicates legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers. Collaborates with coworkers and managers to create a positive customer experience. Completes assigned training and performs related duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements & Qualifications Willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds and perform duties for extended periods (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, etc.). Ability to work with firearms and to become firearms certified where required. Available to assist customers outside the building and retrieve items from external storage as needed. Minimum age 18 years. High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience. Strong desire to work with people and be team‑oriented. Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment and perform basic math calculations. Cash handling experience preferred. Flexibility to work multiple locations and a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays. Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and office machines. Bilingual applicants encouraged. Commission Plan Pawnbrokers can earn 2-8% commission based on the gross profit of their personal performance. Detailed information is provided during the interview process. Other Information Payrates comply with local minimum wage requirements.
