The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at our organization in Albany, NY is on the lookout for a board-certified pathologist in Anatomic Pathology (AP) or Anatomic and Clinical Pathology (AP/CP) to engage in clinical services related to Gynecological and/or Genitourinary pathology within an academic environment. While fellowship training in the relevant specialty is preferred, it is not mandatory. A secondary area of interest in Anatomic Pathology is advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sign out of GYN and/or GU pathology cases
• Participate in shared AP call and provide non-forensic autopsy coverage
  • (Typically less than 4 autopsies per pathologist annually)

Teaching Responsibilities:

• Conduct one-on-one and group sign-outs with residents, medical students, and visiting observers
• Deliver didactic lectures, facilitate unknown slide conferences, and supervise residents’ presentations, including journal clubs, gross conferences, and grand rounds
• Engage in translational research and medical student education, with activities tailored to individual interests and departmental needs

The salary range for this position is competitive and based on experience and academic rank, ranging from $224,000 to $336,500 (this range reflects base salary only; total compensation will also include an initial sign-on bonus and a substantial quarterly incentive component).
