Machine OperatorAny candidate interested in being a machine operator should be highly motivated and have an ability to multitask. A machine operator should be able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality, using standard procedures designed to maximize product. Non-Exempt employees are eligible for overtime pay in accordance with applicable federal and state laws.Essential FunctionsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Ability to work in a team environmentMust be able to stand for extended periods of timeMust be able to lift 50 pounds independentlyMust be able to perform simple machine set-upsMust be able to read and understand most blueprintsDemonstrate working knowledge and understanding of most QC requirements and proceduresMust be able to monitor scrap ratesMust be able to inspect parts in accordance with procedure policyBasic understanding of different cutting tools and their usageBasic knowledge of ISO conceptsUnderstand production requirementsBasic understanding of Lean principlesMust be available to work overtime if requiredSupport additional tasks as needed to meet business needs.Required QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED preferredOne-year-related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education & experience requiredExperience with steel, aluminum and/or stainless steel preferredAbility to read blueprints a plus but we will trainBasic math skillsWork EnvironmentThis position operates in both office and manufacturing floor environments.
