Elementary Teacher

Duties and Responsibilities of the Job: Ave Maria Academy is looking for a multi-age Elementary classroom teacher with a passion for working with children who must be patient, flexible, and creative, with strong communication skills. Applicants must be open to teaching in a combination classroom, including all subject areas, and must be practicing Christians. Teach Language Arts, Science, Social Studies, Math, Religion, & Arts to 1st & 2nd grade students. Promote physical, mental, and social development of the student as an individual. Candidates may be required to hold State certification. Must be committed to excellence and work collaboratively, possessing effective communication skills. Qualifications: The ideal candidate will:

• Be committed to academic excellence and a willingness to meet the educational needs of the individual student.
• Work in partnership with teachers, specialists, support staff, and administration.
• Communicate effectively with students, families, staff members, and the community.
