Job Title Accountant Location (City, State) Charlotte, NC (Fully Onsite) Pay $60,000 – $75,000 annually Benefits This position is eligible for Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401K benefits. Job Description Our client is seeking a detail‑oriented accounting professional to support day‑to‑day financial operations across multiple accounting functions. This role will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with month‑end processes, supporting reporting activities, and serving as a key point of contact for internal departments, customers, and vendors. The ideal candidate is hands‑on, organized, and eager to grow into increased responsibilities as the business continues to expand. Key Responsibilities Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing and payment application. Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, payment issues, and customer account questions. Follow up on outstanding customer balances and assist with collection activities. Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance. Process employee expense reimbursements and maintain organized financial documentation. Assist with payroll‑related accounting tasks as needed. Generate recurring financial, operational, and sales reports. Support fixed asset tracking, depreciation schedules, budgeting, and forecasting efforts. Participate in monthly and year‑end close activities, including financial statement preparation. Coordinate with external auditors and provide requested documentation during audit processes. Identify opportunities to improve accounting procedures and strengthen internal controls. Provide cross‑functional support and assist with additional accounting or administrative projects as business needs evolve. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. At least 5 years of progressive accounting or bookkeeping experience. Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, accruals, journal entries, and financial reporting. Working knowledge of GAAP and standard accounting practices. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and lookup functions. Experience working within an ERP system; SAP experience is highly preferred. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving abilities. Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
