Cardiopulmonary Services Manager

Lead and manage the Cardiopulmonary Services department to deliver safe, high-quality respiratory, cardiac, and sleep lab services. Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards (ACHC, Wyoming state licensure), and budget goals while supervising staff and maintaining equipment.

Essential duties and responsibilities include overseeing daily operations of Respiratory Therapy, Cardiac Rehab, Sleep Lab, EKG, Holter monitoring, stress testing, pulmonary function testing; developing, updating, and enforcing department policies, procedures, and quality standards; performing and teaching all respiratory care procedures; managing staffing; creating and monitoring annual budget; maintaining preventive maintenance program for all equipment; coordinating services with physicians, nursing, and other departments; conducting staff meetings, in-service training, and competency programs; collecting and reporting departmental statistics, quality metrics, and invoices; attending hospital committees and representing the department; responding to patient/staff complaints and resolving issues per hospital policy; and performing other duties as assigned.

Qualification requirements include expertise in respiratory therapy, ventilation management, ABG collection and analysis, cardiology procedures, pulmonary function testing, and related equipment; strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and infection control; budget development and financial management; principles of staff supervision, training, and performance management; regulatory standards (ACHC, CMS, state licensure); proficiency in Microsoft Office, Cerner EMR, email, and calendar systems; excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills; ability to analyze data, develop policies, and implement change.

Education and/or experience include a high school diploma or equivalent, graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program, current Wyoming State License, NBRC credential (RRT preferred; CRT accepted), BLS and ACLS required (within 6 months of hire), PALS strongly preferred, at least 4 years of experience as a respiratory therapist, and minimum 1-year supervisory experience in cardiopulmonary services.
