Metallurgical Lab Technician

Responsibilities Prepare and interpret Metallographic samples to customer specifications for heat treats, audits, specials and customer approval packages. Record and maintain accurate traceability information for all incoming Metallographic samples. Segregate scrap samples and alloy into proper bins by alloy type. File all micros into storage boxes when drawers are filled with legible micro ranges and dates including storing boxes neatly and orderly into the warehouse. 100% audit of daily Heat Treat & Hip charts to assure conformance to requirements. Willing to advance to level I – III certifications Qualifications Excellent verbal and written communication skills High School degree or equivalent required 2+ year college degree preferred ASTM training or certification in heat treating or Metallography a plus Must be well organized and able to self‑direct daily activities. Must be able to lift a minimum of 35 lbs. and at times sit for long periods of time. Technical report writing including advanced computer skills in Word, Excel and Power Point.
