Behavioral Health Technician - Psychiatric Individualized Supportive Living (PISL)Location: Cape Girardeau, MOFull-Time Position: 6:00am-4:00pm (with rotating weekend (following 3-2, 3-2-, 2-2 rotation, will end up being off every other weekend).Location: Cape Girardeau, MOPay: $17.38 - $19.78/hour Minimum Required Qualifications:High School Diploma/GED/HSE required.Preference will be given to those with at least two years' experience in Healthcare or Mental Health field or with an undergraduate degree.Must hold or obtain by start date, MO Class E Driver's License (Class D for IL Residents), and proof of continuous auto insurance. Must also meet CCC's Motor Vehicle Record standards policy and have reliable transportation.Note: The Class E is just a written required computer test. No Driving Test has to be taken for the Class E. Then you would go to the DMV after the test is taken (passed) and transfer the license over to that Class E. HERE to learn more about the MO Class E LicenseThe Psychiatric Individualized Supportive Living (PISL) ProgramPISL is four bedroom living arrangement for transitional adults between the ages of 18 years up to the age of 26 with a diagnosed severe and persistent mental health illness. The residents must demonstrate willingness, desire and need to learn and/or improve independent living skills. Individuals may have a variety of presenting problems including a history of mental illness, severe functional disability, (i.e. inability to work, live independently, or maintain adequate social support) and possibly substance use/dependency issues.Your Job as a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT)*As a BHT you are responsible for the oversight of the clients' safety and mental well-being as well as the physical plant facilities. This includes assisting clients with skill building, participating in groups and social activities, and intervening in crisis situations when needed.
