CARDIOPULMONARY REHAB - EXERCISE PHYSIOLOGIST

Idaho Falls Community Hospital is looking for a Exercise Physiologist to join our team!


JOB SUMMARY: Exercise Physiologist will provide expert advice on exercise for people with a range of chronic diseases, including coronary heart disease, diabetes or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Perform a range of investigations, including exercise tolerance tests, to assess patient risk.
2. Work directly with patients on how to make changes to their lifestyle.
3. refer patients where necessary to other specialists.
4. Work as part of a multidisciplinary team including clinicians and allied health professionals.
5. Teach and present to allied related medical staff.
6. Work with community groups, volunteers and local councils to raise awareness of the benefits of exercise.

Education : A bachelor's degree program in Exercise Physiology.


Experience:. Minimum of two years of experience as an Exercise Physiologist. Certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). Knowledgeable in kinesiology, nutrition and fitness concepts.
