Job Description



We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Epileptologist to join our neurology team in Detroit, United States. In this role, you will provide specialized clinical care to patients with epilepsy and seizure disorders, utilizing your analytical expertise and professional knowledge to deliver comprehensive diagnostic and treatment services. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes and advance epilepsy care within our organization.

  • Diagnose and manage patients with epilepsy and seizure disorders through comprehensive clinical evaluations and specialized testing
  • Interpret electroencephalogram (EEG) recordings and other neurophysiological studies to inform clinical decision-making
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including antiepileptic medication management and dosage optimization
  • Perform detailed patient assessments, including medical history review, neurological examinations, and seizure characterization
  • Collaborate with neurosurgeons, neuropsychologists, and other specialists to determine candidacy for advanced interventions such as epilepsy surgery
  • Provide patient and family education regarding seizure management, medication adherence, lifestyle modifications, and safety precautions
  • Maintain detailed and accurate medical documentation in compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies
  • Participate in case conferences and multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss complex patient cases
  • Stay current with advances in epilepsy treatment, emerging therapies, and clinical best practices through continuing education
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and clinical outcomes analysis within the epilepsy program

Qualifications

  • ·Must have completed an ACGME/AOA approved Neurology residency.

    ·Must be board eligible/certified in Neurology.

    ·Must have completed or currently completing an ACGME/AOA approved Epilepsy fellowship.
