Public Areas Supervisor

The Public Areas Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the upkeep of areas encompassed by the Public Areas Team (including but not limited to bathrooms, large floor surfaces, garbage, hallways). The role ensures the Public Areas staff meets all property expectations for the position. The supervisor ensures the completion of all assigned projects. Further, the role must develop/mentor/hold accountable all staff members on the team.

• Plan upcoming projects/repairs, and try to eliminate issues prior to the start of projects
• Evaluates work orders, organizes and assigns them
• Maintains a strong relationship with all other departments to make sure communication is seamless
• Among other areas of responsibilities, must oversee carpet & window cleaning
• Must schedule to business, maximizing labor efficiencies
• Responsible for training and evaluating all employees
• Coordinates/assigns daily job lists for employees
• Responsible for ensuring team is properly trained in all aspects of duties
• Inspects work done by team
• Generates written work orders and prepared detailed time sheet & records
• Maintains safe work habits and uses all safety precautions recommended for each tool or machinery
• Other duties may be assigned
• Maintain flexible schedule and be willing to back fill gaps in schedule coverage
• Responsible for cleaning carpet and windows
• Responsible for managing and tracking inventory
• Must learn to produce schedules and approve time records

Ability to manage time well, meet imposed deadlines and ability to work flexible hours

Detail-orientation and understanding of the need to maintain high level of cleanliness/visual beauty of property

Basic computer knowledge primarily for scheduling or payroll

The position requires the ability to lift over 50 pounds occasionally.

This position requires the ability to stand, walk (6-7 hours at a time), and climb stairs, reach & bend.

The position requires that the employee be able to read basic chemical labels and write in complete sentences in submitting reports and assessments.

High school diploma or GED

Two (2) years of experience in Engineering, Public Areas or Housekeeping with preference for hospitality experience

Microsoft Office experience required (Excel proficiency highly preferred)

Valid drivers' license for use of company vehicles may be required
