Mission Staff (NextGen Leader)

Eligibility and Core Commitments Applicants must profess a belief in Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and Lord and subscribe to Young Life’s Statement of Faith. Employees and volunteers are required to maintain and renew this faith commitment throughout their employment. Responsibilities Spiritual Development – Lead prayer, fellowship, and growth activities; develop personal and team spiritual plans; support youth in understanding Scripture; foster relationships within the church community. Leadership Development – Recruit, train, and supervise volunteer leaders; build teams reflecting the community; facilitate coaching sessions and vision casting. Resource Development – Organize events and fundraising, maintain donor relationships, and promote the organization’s mission; collaborate with key community stakeholders such as principals, pastors, and parents. Direct Ministry – Conduct contact work, club programs, Campaigners, and camps; lead planning and execution of new or existing Youth Life clubs and camps; serve on a summer assignment annually. Ministry Support – Handle accounting, administration, internal communications, and data management; maintain accurate records; develop strategic ministry plans; perform additional duties as assigned. Training and Development Mission‑wide training is optional; additional training events (e.g., New Staff Training, Winter Training, Focus Conferences) are available upon approval of the regional director. Regional training is at the discretion of the regional director and may be required. Area‑level training includes individualized development plans focusing on personal spiritual maturity and ministry skills such as the 5 C’s. Basic fundraising principles are introduced for part‑time staff. Qualifications Proven relational skills with both youth and adults. Strong verbal and written communication abilities. Ability to maintain confidentiality. College degree preferred. Working Conditions and Compensation The standard base pay range in the U.S. for this role is $15,300 to $19,150 per year, varying by education, experience, and location. This range does not apply outside the United States.
