Qualification

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a manual machinist or similar role required.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings
  • Strong knowledge of machining techniques and tooling
  • Ability to use precision measuring instruments effectively
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot machine issues

Work Performed

  • Set up and operate manual machines such as lathes, mills, and grinders
  • No CNC machines, all manual machining.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine machining operations
  • Use precision measuring instruments such as bore gauges and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to ensure accuracy of machined parts
  • Perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment
  • Assemble and disassemble tooling for machining operations
  • Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards
  • Follow lean manufacturing principles to optimize production processes
  • Utilize hand tools and power tools as necessary
  • Operate a forklift/overhead crane to move materials and finished products

Supplemental Pay:

  • Double time pay
  • Overtime pay

Pay Type: Hourly, Biweekly 

Compensation : $28-$33/ hour based on experience.

Work Location: 

  • Ishpeming, Michigan: Reliably commute or planning to relocate required.
