Evening weekend and holiday hours during the athletic season seasonal position stipend and terms per collective bargaining agreement

Varsity Track Coach Athletic Director and Building Principal
Position Summary:
The Middle School Track Coach is responsible for organizing leading and supervising an educational track team that promotes student-athlete development sportsmanship teamwork and academic success. The coach provides instruction in track skills and strategies while fostering a positive safe and inclusive environment consistent with school and district values.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous coaching and/or playing experience in track
- Knowledge of high/middle school athletic rules and regulations
- Strong leadership organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with students parents and school personnel
- CPR First Aid and concussion awareness training
- Background check clearance
Job Responsibilities:
- Plan organize and conduct practices that develop individual skills team concepts and physical conditioning
- Coach and supervise student-athletes during practices meets and related activities
- Teach and model sportsmanship ethical conduct teamwork and respect for opponents and officials
- Promote academic achievement and monitor student-athlete eligibility and attendance
- Communicate effectively with student-athletes parents/guardians administrators and athletic staff
- Supervise locker rooms travel and off-campus activities
- Participate in coaches meetings rules clinics and required professional development
- Support and comply with district policies athletic handbook provisions and state athletic association regulations
