Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) degree, active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license, and 1+ years Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An opportunity is available for a skilled Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide essential services in a school-based setting for the upcoming academic year. This contract position is ideal for candidates eager to make a positive difference for students while working a flexible, part-time schedule.

Beginning August 4, 2026, and extending through May 27, 2027 (including pre- and post-planning days), the assignment encompasses approximately 15 hours per week, split over two days (7.5 hours each). While the precise school sites are still being determined, they are expected to be in the Simpsonville and/or Greer area of South Carolina.

Qualifications:

• Valid South Carolina COTA license required
• Experience in schools or pediatric settings strongly preferred
• Ability to deliver direct service to multiple students daily
• Strong collaborative and communication skills
• Commitment to following established therapy plans under OTR supervision

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct occupational therapy support to approximately 8–10 students per day, with sessions averaging 30 minutes per student
• Execute therapy activities as outlined in student IEPs under the guidance of an OTR supervisor
• Maintain clear documentation and progress reports according to school/district requirements
• Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support each student’s success
• Participate in team meetings, planning days, and ongoing communication with supervisors
