The Coral Reef Futures Lab at the University of Miami Rosenstiel School of Marine, Atmospheric and Earth Science is a leading research group focused on coral reef science and restoration. We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Program Manager to support the operational, administrative, and collaborative functions of a dynamic, grant-funded research and restoration portfolio. This role is central to ensuring the seamless coordination of projects, communications, and partnerships across multiple initiatives. Key Responsibilities Coordinate timelines, deliverables, and reporting across multiple active research grants. Track and support grant compliance, reporting requirements, and submission timelines. Attend grant-related meetings, document key outcomes, and drive follow-up actions across collaborators. Facilitate communication among research partners, institutions, and stakeholders to ensure alignment and progress. Manage scheduling for the Principal Investigator (PI), including meetings, travel, and key deadlines. Manage inbound communications, including high-volume email correspondence, drafting and responding on behalf of the lab or PI when appropriate. Oversee administrative processes including permits, purchasing, and university documentation. Maintain organised systems for project tracking, documentation, and internal workflows. Potential to assist with research and restoration activities as experience and expertise allows, including in the lab and field Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required; preference for marine science, environmental science, biology, or related field. Exceptional organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Proactive, resourceful, and able to operate with a high degree of autonomy. Strong writing and communication skills, including professional email drafting and stakeholder coordination. High level of attention to detail and ability to anticipate needs in a fast-paced research environment. Comfort working with academic, scientific, and institutional processes.
