Step into a rewarding role supporting elementary students and staff as a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP or SLPA) on a contract basis for the upcoming school year. This opportunity offers you the chance to make an immediate difference by covering a leave at a busy, diverse elementary campus just outside Kansas City, MO.

As the primary SLP working with students from first, second, and fifth grades, as well as older functional integrated therapy (FIT) students and cross-categorical classrooms, you’ll have a hands-on impact every day. The assignment runs through early December and may be extended.

Qualifications & Preferred Experience:

• Valid and active Missouri SLP or SLPA license required
• Credentials of CCC-SLP (Certificate of Clinical Competence) strongly valued
• Prior school-based pediatric SLP/SLPA experience is preferred
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Effectively manage a caseload currently at 37 students, two consults, and the potential for a third
• Plan and deliver individualized and group speech/language therapy, including a weekly language session in the FIT classroom every Tuesday
• Provide support across a range of grade levels—serving students from kindergarten up to third, fifth, and specialized programs
• Assume morning car rider duty and participate in afternoon dismissal picking up ball field walkers in second and kindergarten
• Maintain thorough documentation and consult routinely with teachers, staff, and families
