Maintenance MechanicThe Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining CNC machines and other production equipment to keep operations running safely and efficiently. This role performs preventive maintenance, responds to equipment breakdowns, diagnoses mechanical and control-related issues, and collaborates closely with machinists and production teams to minimize downtime and ensure reliable machine performance.ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoot, repair, and maintain CNC machines and other mechanical production equipment to support continuous manufacturing operations.Diagnose equipment failures and determine safe, effective repair solutions that restore equipment to proper operating condition.Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and complete emergency and unscheduled repairs to minimize production downtime.Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on CNC machines and production equipment according to established procedures.Coordinate maintenance activities with machinists and production personnel to reduce disruption to production schedules.Review incoming maintenance requests, prioritize work based on urgency and production needs, and complete tasks in a timely manner.Document completed repairs, preventive maintenance activities, and equipment information in company software systems for accurate maintenance records.Use equipment manuals, schematics, diagrams, and knowledge of machine control systems to systematically troubleshoot equipment issues.Identify mechanical and equipment-related problems and perform the necessary repairs to restore proper function and accuracy.Use precision inspection tools such as dial indicators, squares, and test bars to verify machine alignment, geometry, and accuracy after repairs.Assist in identifying recurring equipment problems, analyze root causes, and recommend corrective actions to improve long-term reliability.Identify and source replacement parts, components, and outside repair services when required to complete maintenance and repair work.Estimate repair costs and determine the most efficient and cost-effective approach to restoring equipment to service.Coordinate parts orders and outside services to reduce equipment downtime and support continuous production.Why Work Here?Employees work in a very clean, modern machine shop environment with a strong culture of promoting from within and supporting long-term career growth.
