Practice Environment

APPs work within a collaborative Emergency Department alongside supervising physicians, experienced nursing teams, hospital support staff, and consulting specialists in a structured regional hospital environment designed for efficient patient throughput and quality emergency care.

The department manages a diverse case mix including:

• Acute medical emergencies
  
  
• Trauma presentations
  
  
• Cardiac and stroke care
  
  
• Behavioral health
  
  
• Community emergency stabilization and transfer coordination
  
  

Clinical Scope

• Evaluation, stabilization, treatment, and disposition of emergency patients
  
  
• Emergency procedures and critical care management
  
  
• Collaboration with supervising physicians and consulting specialists
  
  
• Admissions, transfers, and discharge coordination
  
  
• Documentation and order entry within Cerner EMR
  
  
• Broad-spectrum Emergency Medicine coverage across varying acuity levels
  
  

Candidate Requirements

• Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
  
  
• Active Georgia License or ability to obtain
  
  
• Emergency Medicine experience required
  
  
• ACLS Required
  
  
• ATLS and PALS preferred
  
  
• Comfortable practicing within collaborative physician-led ED environments
  
  
• Recent Emergency Medicine APP experience strongly preferred
