Job Description:

Title: Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Schedule: Day shift, On-call services may be required.

Assignment Details:

• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 40

Requirements:

• Graduate of an Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA) accredited program or equivalent.
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in nuclear medicine or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB).
• American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Preferred: One (1) year post-graduate work experience as a registered Nuclear Medicine Technologist.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Perform general nuclear medicine examinations and therapeutic procedures as requested.
• Assist medical staff during exams and procedures.
• Ensure proper documentation and billing for exams and procedures.
• Verify written/electronic orders to ensure timely performance and reporting of exams.
• Participate in monitoring and improvement of hospital quality indicators.
• Complete documentation for radioactive material administration and disposal in compliance with regulations.
