Civil Engineer/Project Manager - Site DesignUrban is currently seeking Civil Engineers/Project Managers with 5+ years of experience in the design of land development engineering projects. Successful candidates would be based in our Annandale or Chantilly office.Candidates:Must have a B.S. in Civil Engineering from an accredited universityEIT certification is preferred, but not requiredExperience in designing, preparing and processing land development applications requiredExperience in designing, preparing and processing land development applications in Northern Virginia jurisdictions is preferred, but not requiredCandidates must have the ability to make well-informed design decisions based on their knowledge of civil engineering concepts and locality requirementsContributes to the preparation of full sets of construction plansEnsure the quality of all work completedProficiency with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office is requiredExcellent written and oral communication skills are a mustTypical duties will include:Creation of CAD drawings and details for site and subdivision plansSite layout and utility designHorizontal and vertical design of roadwaysPreparation of erosion and sediment control plansGenerating hydrologic computations for SWM facilitiesPerforming pavement design computationsPerforming site distance analysisPreparing site work quantity take-offsCoordination with internal and external engineers, architects, etc.
