Travel RN - Med/Surg Tele

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift acute care hospital assignment requiring at least 1 year of Med/Surg Tele experience and an active IL RN license. Requirements Active IL RN license or ability to obtain prior to start Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg Tele experience required BLS certification required ACLS and NIHSS certifications preferred Cerner charting experience preferred Experience with both adult and geriatric patient populations required Previous travel nursing experience required Skills in IV therapy, phlebotomy, central and peripheral line care, and PICC line management Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and telemetry monitoring Experience managing cardiac drips (no titration), heparin protocols, PCA, and thrombolytic agents Experience with respiratory support including BiPAP/CPAP, chest tubes, high flow nasal cannula, and ABG interpretation Experience with wound care/wound vac, isolation precautions/PPE, and surgical drains preferred Experience with orthopedic and cardiovascular conditions including ortho trauma, total joint replacement, pacemakers, and post-MI care preferred Responsibilities Med/Surg Tele unit within a 65-bed acute care hospital 26-bed unit with average daily census of 8 Patient ratios of 1:4-6 Night shift, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM Every other weekend required No block scheduling accommodations available Uses Cerner for charting Provide nursing care for a Med/Surg Tele patient population including cardiac, renal, neurological, and gastrointestinal cases Community hospital experience preferred RTO must be discussed and approved with the manager during the interview process Scrubs of any color permitted, but no t-shirts, sweatshirts, or logos from other organizations Free parking available in any unrestricted space Located less than 1 hour from St. Louis and about 45 minutes from Scott Air Force Base Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts Job ID: P-756119 Open Positions: 2 #J-18808-Ljbffr American Traveler
