Order Management Specialist I

Daikin Applied is hiring an Order Management Specialist I ! This position works in a high performing, customer-oriented team environment to support made-to-order manufactured equipment for a national network of direct sales offices. He or She builds strong business relationships with the sales office as well as quality, cost and delivery (QCD) operations personnel to provide end-to-end management of incoming orders. Location: Hybrid - Plymouth MN (Typically 1 day in office, 4 days from home per week)

What you will do:

• Ensure timely processing of orders

• Support standard order processing procedure while working with customized made to order equipment as well as a subset of products. Specialized equipment processing will also involve interaction with drafting, engineering and 3rd party modifiers

• Process change orders by following the change order process and guidelines

• Communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external customers

• Field incoming calls to deal with mitigation of delays within production, shipping and delivery of products. Also deals with short shipments, damages and product defects

• Assure effective and efficient handling of calls and timely processing of orders

• Act as the primary customer contact regarding pricing, shipping and negotiation of order scheduling as well as coordinating specialized delivery requirements

• Manage the freight claims process

• Handle various special projects as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1-2 years of customer service experience
• Superior customer service focus
• Basic computer knowledge, Outlook, Word, Excel experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of applied HVAC equipment
• Experience with any of the following: Oracle, Salesforce, Ops, Vision Explorer, AHU Database, FPA Database, Agile

The typical pay rate for the position ranges from $19.38 - 30.85 per hour in Minnesota. $25 per hour is the target pay. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position(s) fall. Individual hourly pay rate will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
