Program Aide $18.50/hr

Overview Learn Academy, "formally Chrysalis Academy", a certified K – 12 private day school, is looking for full-time, year-round Teaching Assistants for the 2024-2025 school year! The TA will provide educational, behavioral and communication support to children with autism spectrum disorder, and related disorders under the direction of a Certified Special Education Teacher. The starting pay is $18.50/hr This position is perfect for candidates that are generally interested to work with children with special needs and want to make a difference in their lives! It’s also a great opportunity for candidates with a background in Psychology, Social Work, Sociology and Healthcare. Responsibilities Implement treatment plans using ABA techniques. Directly support students with daily living activities. Behavior documentation and reporting. Ability to maintain professional relationships. Work independently and with supervisor to create treatment plans. Communicate with supervisors and other colleagues consistently and professionally. Attend training, supervision, and mentor meetings. Receptive to constructive feedback in group and individual settings. Must be able to work independently and meet all clinical and administrative deadlines. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum 3 years' experience working with children. PCM Certificate must be current. Course work in related subject preferred. Experience in ABA preferred, not required. Must have or willing to obtain a valid CPR/First Aid & Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Must be able to assume and maintain a variety of postures (stoop, reach, stand, kneel, squat, sit, walk, lift, pull, grasp) for extended periods of time. Must be willing and able to implement safety measures consistent with Professional Crisis Management Association (PCMA) such as: therapeutic holds and transportation procedures utilizing quick body movements in the course of maintaining the safety of students with special needs.
