Job DescriptionJob DescriptionESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Long-term planning to create initiatives that further the company’s overall goalsCoordinating different teams to foster exchange of ideas and provide cross-team learning opportunities Assessing and analyzing departmental budgets to find ways to minimize expenses and optimize profitsInspiring and motivating employees to perform at their best through positive encouragement and incentive initiativesCommunicating with the General Manager about shifting company priorities and projectsIdentifying potential problems and points of friction and working to find solutions in order to maximize efficiency and revenueIdentifying opportunities to expand or shift course in order to take advantage of changes in the marketOversee the inventory, packout, cleaning, vaulting, wrapping, staging, and pack back of documents/merchandise as part of the PO/PB/Cleaning and Restoration processAdjust staffing levels/schedules according to volume/priorities/holidays, etc.Assure all Operations departments are fully staffed with proper, trained personnelResponsible for the safety program including leading/participating in safety meetings. Oversee the investigation and resolution of inventory counts that don’t match or inventory unable to locate.Conduct staff meetings on a regular basis.Responsible for the 5S’s: sort, straighten, shine, standardize and sustain.Authority as detailed in the Company’s Standard Operating Procedures.Apply corporate values.Note: Specific objectives and performance standards for essential duties and responsibilities are established annually in the associate’s performance review document.MANAGEMENT/SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES (including job titles of direct reports):Under the direction of the General Manager: provide input on promotions; establish work schedules; manage time and attendance; provide training including cross-training; assign, direct and review work; write and deliver performance reviews; and address performance/conduct issues through the corrective action process for the operations staff as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily. Experience: A minimum of five (5) years of experience in a restoration industry, warehouse or distribution environment including a supervisory role. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Proficient in OSHA regulations. Demonstrated ability in planning and managing multiple projects, and in problem analysis and problem resolution. Strong decision making and negotiating skills. Demonstrated leadership skills. Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing. Strong customer orientation with excellent interpersonal communication skills. Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills. Knowledgeable in Word, Excel and computer operating systems. WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL ABILITIES: Approximately 70% of scheduled work shift in the warehouse or field environment and 30% in an office environment. In the warehouse environment frequently stands, walks, bends, stoops, crouches, kneels, climbs, push and pull heavy objects, reach above shoulder level and lifts at least one hundred (100) lbs.
