WAITER/WAITRESS (SEASONAL)

Location, Schedule, Pay, & Referral Bonus Location: Heritage – 458 Union Avenue, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866. Schedule: Seasonal – Sunday through Thursday, morning or night shift (details to be provided during interview). Pay: $10.30 – $10.70 per hour. Referral Bonus: Internal employee referral bonus available. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room; take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service. Deliver food promptly and professionally; maintain safe food handling and sanitation standards and follow up periodically to assist with additional needs or requests. Demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients; advise guests on appropriate combinations of food and drinks, accommodate reasonable requests, and note dietary preferences and allergens. Communicate directly with back‑of‑the‑house staff to ensure orders are delivered correctly and special requests are accommodated. Exhibit exceptional communication skills, get along well with others, remain flexible and patient with guests and staff. Collect tickets and follow proper cash‑handling procedures. Promote a clean, safe and neat environment for guests. Maintain a high level of sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information shared. Promptly address complaints or issues; relay relevant information or complaints directly to supervisor. Ensure dining room is properly set up prior to and after service, keeping area clean and meeting sanitation standards. Operate a variety of equipment, including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced‑tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines. Work with staff of other departments during special events and functions. Perform other duties as assigned.
