Position Overview

Our client is seeking a skilled and compassionate Respiratory Care Practitioner to provide high-quality respiratory therapy services in a patient-centered hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities

Respiratory Care & Clinical Services

• Perform respiratory care services in accordance with established departmental standards policies and protocols.
• Deliver appropriate respiratory therapy treatments and interventions based on patient needs and established care plans.
• Assess patient respiratory status and monitor responses to prescribed treatments.
• Support patients requiring respiratory care across applicable hospital service areas.
• Maintain high standards of clinical accuracy patient safety and quality of care.

Patient Assessment & Treatment

• Evaluate respiratory conditions and assist in implementing appropriate therapeutic interventions.
• Monitor patient progress and communicate changes in respiratory status to the healthcare team.
• Provide respiratory support and treatment in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
• Apply clinical knowledge and professional judgment to support positive patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of respiratory care services.

Interdisciplinary Collaboration

• Collaborate with physicians nurses and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.

Required Qualifications

• Associates degree in Respiratory Therapy or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Active Oregon Respiratory Care Practitioner License required upon hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association required upon hire.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association required upon hire.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification through the American Heart Association required within 90 days of hire.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification through the American Academy of Pediatrics required within 90 days of hire.
• Approximately 12 years of relevant respiratory care experience.
• Strong understanding of respiratory therapy practices patient assessment and clinical treatment protocols.
• Excellent communication organizational and patient care skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
• Commitment to maintaining patient safety and professional clinical standards.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous respiratory therapy experience in an acute care hospital environment.
