Adjunct Assistant/Associate/Professor (Open Rank): Master's - Educational Counseling (EC): EDUC 500

Position Overview We are seeking a part‑time instructor to teach EDUC 500: The Counseling Process. This course explores the theoretical foundations, models, values, and assumptions underlying psychological counseling, including cross‑cultural perspectives and ethical and legal considerations in counseling practice. Appointment Adjunct Faculty: USC reserves the “Adjunct Faculty” appointment for faculty teaching less than full‑time at USC, who are employed full‑time in a primary profession or career elsewhere. Adjunct faculty may teach one class each semester (summer, fall and spring). Salary The base salary range for this position is $7,457 - $9,587 per course. Qualifications Significant professional experience in higher education, student affairs, educational counseling, or related higher education settings. Ability to connect counseling theory to practice in postsecondary environments and prepare future educational counselors to support diverse student populations through culturally responsive and ethical approaches.
