Registered Nurse 1 (NY HELPS)

RN 1 Nursing PositionThe RN 1 serves as a member of the interdisciplinary team performing various nursing duties, including coordinating and monitoring all aspects of medical care for residents. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:Provide direct nursing care to residents, including comprehensive nursing assessments, administering medications, implementing physician's treatment orders, transcribing orders, and collecting specimens for laboratory analysis or culture.Provide health education to residents, their guardians and staff and participate in interdisciplinary support plan meetings.Represent nursing on the resident's support team, provide information on nursing needs, consult and coordinate with support teams and other health care disciplines to assess, plan, implement, or evaluate resident's care.Provide first aid and emergency nursing care.Assess, monitor and document resident's symptoms, conditions, and care, including diet and physical activity.
