We support people with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities to live their best life, to be part of the community, to explore their dreams and achieve their goals.If you have a positive mindset, are passionate about helping people achieve goals and maintain their independence, you are probably a great fit for our team!Summary of DutiesServe as primary support staff, working with an Individual with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities and/or AutismSupport the individual to live as independently as possible within their own homeHave related experience providing direct support to individuals with a variety of support needs (behavioral, emotional, communication, self-care etc.)Complete all online notes and data collection related to the individual’s daily experiencesCollaborate and build positive relationships with team members, other support staff, and other appropriate individuals both inside and outside the agency as neededPreserve privacy, confidentiality and ensure dignity to assigned individual and all othersAttend training, in-services, and/or conferences to assure professional growth as approved by supervisorCompensation and BenefitsWCMHS provides a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, and a generous retirement contribution match. Our industry-leading paid time off package includes 12.5 flexible holidays per year and 12 days each vacation and paid sick time earned in your first year of employment.The starting pay range for this position is $19.06 - $19.84 per hourSummary of QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentKnowledge of ethical work practices, a sense of humor, ability to adapt to a changing environment and experience with technology such as Microsoft applicationsPrior experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities/Autism preferred but not necessaryValid driver’s license, good driving record and safe, reliable, insured vehicle requiredWorkplace ConditionsWorking in a variety of locations including program spaces, residential environments, and in the community, working with clients who may have difficult behaviors, transporting clients with one’s car is required, and the ability to lift up to 50lbs.
