Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated machine operator to join our 1st shift team from 5:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with potential overtime on Saturdays. This role requires wearing steel-toed shoes, and all other personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided. The machine operator plays a crucial role in our production line, ensuring smooth operations and maintaining product flow.

Responsibilities

• Enter jobs into the computerized machine system and maintain a simple log for daily reporting.
• Monitor machine operations and ensure conveyors are running efficiently.
• Collaborate with a team of 4-5 laborers to maintain product movement.
• Perform basic maintenance tasks such as lock out tag out and switching chain links, escalating complex issues to management.
• Assist in setting the die in machines using a forklift and crane, alongside team members.
• Clean and scrape dies at the end of each shift, with typically 1-2 die changes per week.

Essential Skills

• 1-2 years of machine operating experience.
• Basic computer and technology skills.
• Mechanical aptitude and general problem-solving abilities.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Familiarity with forklift operation.
• Ability to follow directions and collaborate with a team.

Work Environment

Work in a warehouse setting with a robotic arm safely handling materials at the end of the conveyor line. The environment is generally clean, with some dust, and large doors provide ventilation. The team operates under a jeans and t-shirt dress code, with the company supplying hard hats and safety glasses. Candidates must provide their own steel-toed shoes. The facility maintains a comfortable temperature in winter, though it can be hot during summer months.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Thomasville, PA.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
