Position Title: Processing Technician, MS PM About this Job Location: Virginia Beach, VA (Concert Drive) Department: Production & Logistics Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday (1:45PM-10:30PM) Clinical Status: Clinical Important: You will be required to sit, stand, bend, walk and lift up to 50 lbs during the shift. You must wear personal protective equipment including surgical gowns, masks, visors, goggles, and caps. How You’ll Make an Impact As a Processing Technician MS, you will perform all aspects of processing, preservation, and storage of tissues in an FDA‑regulated environment. You will work in a team under aseptic conditions, conduct controlled production processes, perform quality assessments and documentation, and support continuous improvement initiatives. What You’ll Do Tissue Processing: Review work orders and instructions before initiating production. Collaborate with supervisors to adjust plans as needed. Perform all processing steps—debridement, dissection, cutting, cleaning, disinfection, sizing, and assessment—according to current procedures and protocols. Assist the supervisory team with production enhancement and improvement initiatives. Packaging: Perform all aspects of packaging and preservation of tissue products, including confirmation of sizing, quality checks, packaging materials, and cryopreservation, following current procedures and protocols. Documentation & Data Entry: Record all processes and functions performed in accordance with all procedures and protocols. Decontamination: Conduct post‑processing decontamination of equipment and the processing room according to current procedures and protocols. Minimum Requirements High School diploma or GED required. Must be 18 years of age or older to apply. Two years of work experience is required. Preferred Experience / Skills / Certifications Certified Tissue Banking Specialist (CTBS) Certification preferred. One year of experience in tissue processing, tissue recovery, manufacturing, operations, or as a surgical technician. Two years of experience working in a non‑clerical, fast‑paced, hands‑on setting. Key Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Perform tasks thoroughly with care and ensure accuracy and completeness. Communicate information verbally and in writing. Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications, computer software, and databases. Quick to learn new skills, grafts, and adapt to developing product lines. Prioritize multiple, competing priorities and manage time and workload. Collaborate effectively in a team environment. Technical skills (preferred): general knowledge of anatomy, ability to use surgical instrumentation and equipment. Final compensation will be based on geographic location, qualifications, and prior relevant experience. Actual compensation may be higher for candidates with additional knowledge and experience.
