1. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES (SUMMARY)

Reporting to the Planning Manager, the Inventory & Demand Planner III ensures the timely and accurate execution of customer orders by managing order entry, production scheduling, inventory allocation, and raw material procurement. This role maintains deep knowledge of customer requirements and product specifics, leverages advanced ERP expertise to produce and analyze reports, ensures pricing and invoicing accuracy, and supports KPI tracking. The Inventory & Demand Planner III also provides support to the Planning Manager in select departmental functions, serving as a resource for reporting, cross-functional meetings, and team coordination.

III. POSITION REQUIREMENTS

 

Education, Credentials, Licenses:

 

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field or equivalent combination of experience and education required.

Kind & Length of Experience:

 

• Minimum 6-8 years of experience in high-mix, low-volume or contract manufacturing environments required, with a strong understanding of the complexities of multiple customer accounts and varied product lines. 
• Minimum 6-8 years of experience in a customer-facing role with emphasis on order fulfillment and customer satisfaction. 
• Minimum 6-8 years of experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, demonstrating advanced proficiency in data entry, reporting, and analysis; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. 
• Proven ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. 
• Proven ability to apply emotional intelligence in managing client relationships, fostering trust, resolving conflicts constructively, and maintaining long-term partnerships. 
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence, align, and build strong relationships across Sales, Operations, Logistics, and Accounting. 
• Adaptable and solutions-focused, with the ability to pivot quickly in response to changing priorities or business needs. 
• Track record of consistently meeting or exceeding deadlines under tight time constraints. 

1. PERFORMANCE MEASURES AND STANDARDS

 

• Perform the duties and responsibilities of an Inventory & Demand Planner I & II. 
• Support cross-training efforts and in developing coverage plans to maintain operational continuity during absences. 
• Assist in assessing current workflows by gathering data, mapping processes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify inefficiencies; recommend and help implement scalable improvements that increase accuracy, reduce lead times, and improve customer satisfaction.
• Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date production schedules by verifying data, updating plans in the system, and coordinating with Operations and Sales to ensure alignment with capacity and customer commitments.
• Assist in verifying product pricing in the ERP system prior to invoicing and ensure invoices are prepared and processed accurately and within required timelines. 
• Support KPI management by tracking, entering, and compiling performance data; prepare KPI reports for review by the Planning Manager. Support KPI tracking by compiling and validating data, monitoring performance against targets, and flagging variances for corrective action. 
• Provide data, documentation, and departmental updates to support Planning Manager participation in HACCP committee meetings; attend as a backup representative when assigned. 
• Prepare and present planning-related data, schedules, and updates to support the Planning Manager in New Business Introduction meetings; attend in their absence when assigned. 
• Lead department huddles in the Planning Manager’s absence, ensuring agenda topics are covered and action items are recorded; contribute suggestions for improving huddle effectiveness. Ensure alignment with departmental objectives, track progress on improvement initiatives, and resolve operational issues in coordination with cross-functional partners. 
• Perform other duties as assigned to support overall business objectives.
