Warehouse SupervisorThe Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing warehouse operations, including the processing and requisitioning of supplies, delivering, and packaging materials for shipment. The role involves supervising and coordinating warehouse personnel and activities to meet productivity goals, operating objectives, and warehouse maintenance functions.The Warehouse Supervisor will coordinate new and current employee training, collaborate with internal and external customers to resolve discrepancies related to shipping, receiving, and inventory, and prepare work schedules to include work assignments, employee training, breaks, overtime assignments, and coverage for vacation/personal absences.The role also involves addressing and reviewing personnel complaints and grievances, ensuring compliance with appropriate company procedures and resolving them effectively and efficiently without preferences or judgment. The Warehouse Supervisor will assist the Full-Time Supervisor in developing plans and programs for process improvement, compiling productivity and reliability statistics for management, and completing daily sanitation schedules and end-shift paperwork.The Warehouse Supervisor must ensure that the warehouse is maintained in a sanitary manner according to company standards, consistently inform the Full-Time Supervisor of potential problems and changes, act as backup in the absence of the Full-Time Supervisor, and review and approve employee time and attendance records. The role also involves addressing performance problems through corrective action and dismissal.Qualifications and job specifications include a high school diploma, GED or equivalency, solid leadership ability, sound problem-solving skills, dedication to a high standard of performance, strong written and verbal communication skills, and reach truck experience.Technical expertise required includes basic Microsoft Office skills, experience with warehouse operations, procedures, equipment, and terminology, operation of warehouse equipment including forklifts, hand trucks, and pallet jacks, and experience utilizing WMS, RF Guns/Scanners.Additional employment requirements include successfully passing all preliminary employment requirements, having a valid driver's license, effective time management skills, impeccable verbal and written communication skills, ability to conduct appropriate research as needed, strong presentation skills, attention to detail and organization, critical thinking, and ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.Physical/mental/visual demands include light to medium work with frequent walking to perform assigned tasks, occasional lifting of 25 – 50 lbs., activities occurring both inside and outside, hazardous conditions may exist, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, and extreme cold while supervising in the freezer.Equipment operated includes desktop computer, fax machine, copier, desk phone, and cell phone.
