Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations for children, adults, and seniors, employing both standardized tools and observation methods.
• Create tailored treatment strategies focused on immediate outcomes and extensive communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
• Deliver individualized therapy sessions designed to enhance communication, fluency, voice control, and swallowing.
• Work in tandem with other healthcare professionals, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, and family members, to craft seamless care approaches.
• Educate patients and their families to ensure they can actively support progress outside therapy sessions.
• Provide inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions as needed, guaranteeing consistent care throughout the recovery process.
• Maintain accurate records of patient care, adhering to state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Commit to personal and professional development by engaging in continuing education and collaborating with peers.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of employment.
