Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of housekeeping staff.
• Ensure resident rooms, bathrooms, common areas, and offices are cleaned and sanitized according to facility standards.
• Conduct routine inspections to maintain cleanliness and sanitation throughout the facility.
• Train and orient new housekeeping employees on cleaning procedures, safety practices, and infection control protocols.
• Develop and manage housekeeping schedules to ensure adequate staffing coverage.
• Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Ensure proper use and storage of cleaning chemicals according to safety guidelines.
• Work closely with nursing and administration to address environmental service needs.
• Assist staff with cleaning duties as needed to maintain facility standards.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local health regulations related to environmental services.
• Respond to resident, family, and staff concerns related to housekeeping services.
• Maintain documentation related to cleaning schedules, inspections, and supply usage.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of housekeeping experience, preferably in healthcare, long-term care, or hospitality.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Knowledge of infection control practices and sanitation standards.
• Ability to train, lead, and motivate staff.
