Job Description
Travel RN - Postpartum

Schedule

6 weekend days required per contract. Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day).

Assignment Details

Orientation: 254 hours. Must be flexible and may float to other units as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years postpartum/high-acuity obstetric experience.
• BLS and NRP certifications required.
• EPIC experience is mandatory.
• Ability to manage high-risk obstetric patients and postpartum hemorrhage.
• Experience with magnesium sulfate therapy, Pitocin administration, and Foley care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide postpartum care for high-risk obstetric patients.
• Monitor and manage patient care during the postpartum period.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure patient safety and care quality.
• Assist in education and support for new families regarding postpartum care.

Compliance / Notes

Compact state RN license must be in hand at submission. References required covering 1 year within the last 3 years. Scheduling and time-off requests must be submitted upfront; limited flexibility may affect the offer.
