Linux Administrator/Engineer

The Fountain Group is currently seeking a Linux Administrator/Engineer for a prominent client of ours. This is an Onsite Role in San Antonio, TX 78205 . Details for the position are as follows:

Pay Rate - $35 - 39.29/hr on W2
6 - 12 months Contract Role (HIGH Possibility for further extension)

Position Summary:
Responsible for diagnosing and resolving Linux, software, hardware, and network issues in production environments. Works closely with engineering and operations teams to identify root causes, implement solutions, improve system reliability, and support infrastructure operations.

Key Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot Linux systems, applications, networking, and server hardware issues.
Analyze system and application logs to identify and resolve root causes.
Support production environments and infrastructure reliability initiatives.
Develop and maintain technical documentation and troubleshooting procedures.
Create simple automation scripts using Python or Bash.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues.

Required Qualifications:
3+ years of Linux administration experience (RHEL and/or Ubuntu preferred).
1+ year of server hardware troubleshooting experience.
Strong understanding of networking fundamentals and the OSI model.
Experience analyzing system and application logs.
Python or Bash scripting.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.

Preferred Qualifications :
Knowledge of Docker, Podman, and container networking.
Experience with AWS, Grafana, ServiceNow, or related technologies.
Familiarity with PostgreSQL, Redis, SQLite, or MongoDB.
Cybersecurity or EDR tool experience.
RHCE Certification preferred.
