As a Sr. Actuarial Analyst on the UHC Community and State Finance team, you'll apply advanced analytics to Medicaid risk adjustment, uncover insights behind risk score performance and morbidity trends, and translate complex data into meaningful recommendations for leaders across the business. The preferred location for this office is the Minnetonka, MN office.Primary Responsibilities:Develop and maintain Medicaid risk adjustment analytics, reporting, and dashboardsAnalyze risk score performance, morbidity trends, and revenue impacts across marketsPartner with actuarial, finance, operations, and technology teams to support business decisionsIdentify data issues, perform root-cause analyses, and recommend solutionsPresent insights and recommendations to leadership and business partnersLead analytical projects and support process improvement initiativesYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, or related fieldMust be on the Actuarial exam track, having passed 2 or more Actuarial exams2+ years of healthcare analytics, actuarial, healthcare economics, or related experienceIntermediate SQL and Excel skillsExperience working with large healthcare datasets (claims, encounters, eligibility, membership, etc.)Proven solid analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsDemonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and work independentlyPreferred Qualifications:Medicaid managed care experienceRisk adjustment experience (CDPS, HCC, or similar models)Power BI, Tableau, or other data visualization experienceExperience with provider coding, encounter data, or supplemental data programsSnowflake or R programming experienceExperience presenting to senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders*All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter PolicyPay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
