Fixed Income Electronic Trading Engineer

Location: New York, NY

Type: Full-Time, 4 days in-office, 1 day remote

A global investment bank is looking to add a Software Engineer to its Fixed Income Electronic Trading technology team. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with front-office stakeholders to deliver high-performance systems supporting real-time trading across global markets.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance trading applications using C# and .NET
• Build both client-side and server-side components for pricing, order management, and trade execution workflows
• Support systems responsible for real-time price distribution and RFQ processing
• Partner with traders, sales, and product teams to translate business needs into technical solutions
• Contribute to system design and implementation of scalable, maintainable architectures
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle , from requirements through production support
• Write high-quality, testable code aligned with engineering best practices
• Assist with production support, including troubleshooting time-sensitive trading issues
• Work within Agile frameworks and contribute to CI/CD and release processes

Qualifications

Required:

• 1-4 years of full-time engineering experience
• Strong proficiency in C# / .NET development
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns
• Experience with version control systems (Git)
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
• Exposure to concurrent or multithreaded systems

Preferred:

• Knowledge of Fixed Income products or capital markets
• Experience working on electronic trading platforms
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and build pipelines
• Experience with dependency injection frameworks and ORM tools
