Energy Efficiency Projects Lead

Job Summary Energy Efficiency Project Lead at Stefanini Group, located in Newark, NJ, working on a hybrid schedule of 3 days in‑office per week. Provide multifamily program management oversight over the scope, schedule, and budget of energy efficiency projects in compliance with the BPU Order and CLIENT procedures. Ensure projects meet all program requirements, including project scope and cost effectiveness, and keep vendor and employee safety compliance. Key Responsibilities Develop and manage processes for implementing energy efficiency projects and programs in accordance with BPU approved programs. Interface with CLIENT associates, vendors, customers, and outside consultants to assure program rules and requirements are maintained, projects remain cost effective, and management and regulatory reporting is accurate and timely. Design customized project proposals to maximize incentives and energy savings by combining commercial and industrial program incentive structures. Coordinate and direct the activities of business development, trade allies, and vendors; review deliverables and monitor performance, and review/process vendor invoices. Perform and oversee program and project QA/QC as required; apply knowledge in energy savings measures and techniques to program and project oversight. Perform project site visits as required. Compile and analyze data from various projects and sources to monitor status and report to management; analyze performance results for management reports and provide monthly project status forecasts. Manage customer relationships to provide program services with a high level of satisfaction, and ensure vendor and employee compliance with safety protocols. Qualifications B.S. Degree plus 5 years experience in energy efficiency programs, construction, or related fields (or 9 years experience if no degree). Experience processing milestone‑based construction payments and forecasting financial spend. Knowledge of energy efficiency measures, implementation, and cost. Excellent communication skills (oral and written). Proficiency with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel & Word). Commitment to process improvement and attention to detail. Ability to travel within CLIENT territory for meetings, inspections, and contractor relationships. Valid US driver’s license. Desired Qualifications Vendor management experience. Invoicing skills.
