Job Summary The Budget Analyst works closely with staff to assist in the preparation of financial materials, reports and summaries for the annual budget. This role conducts budget planning and analysis and maintains budget data and information as required by the university system. Responsibilities Job Duty 1 - Participates in budget data analysis by compiling and modeling data and identifying findings. Job Duty 2 - Review and verify annual Institute-wide salary increases and promotion allocations. Job Duty 3 - Perform other duties as assigned. Job Duty 4 - Analyzes and maintains budgets, including adjustments of budget system to reconcile errors and standard ad hoc financial report creation. Job Duty 5 - Assists in the development of detailed income projections, capital programs, including summaries, analyses and other background materials. Job Duty 6 - Researches and assists in the preparation of materials for use by senior executives or for mandated reports required by the institute System of Georgia. Job Duty 7 - Prepares detailed presentations of comprehensive materials inclusive of graphs, charts and reports. Job Duty 8 - Assists in developing and analyzing projections of the budget and resource implications of proposed programs. Job Duty 9 - Develops and maintains written departmental procedures and training guides. Job Duty 10 - Participates in the design and implementation of financial systems. Required Qualifications Educational Requirements Bachelor's degree in related discipline or equivalent, related experience. Required Experience 4+ years of relevant experience.
