IU Health Physicians - Physicist in Radiation Oncology

The Department of Radiation Oncology at Indiana University School of Medicine has an opening for a Physicist position in downtown Indianapolis. This is a full-time position and will cover clinics in Indianapolis and surrounding communities. IU's Radiation Oncology faculty includes 11 clinical physicists, 13 radiation oncologists and 2 full-time researchers. Educational programs include a residency program and a radiation therapy B.S. degree program. Join a collaborative and supportive team! Job Details Tenure‑track eligibility will be evaluated based on experience and fit. The successful candidate is expected to perform clinical service, participate in quality improvement & research and participate in the teaching of students. Must be qualified to practice as a Physicist in Radiation Oncology and be certified by the American Board of Radiology in Therapeutic Radiological Physics or have completed/currently completing a medical physics residency. Healthcare System/Hospital Description U.S. News & World Report reports that IU Health Methodist Hospital, with 1,000 beds, is a large tertiary referral center with over 130 ICU beds. It serves as the largest trauma center in Indianapolis, as well as a highly subspecialized centre for cardiovascular surgery, thoracic surgery, neurosurgery, lung transplantation, and neurocritical care. IU Health is building a new downtown hospital and campus, which will consolidate operations of the adjacent IU Health Methodist and University Hospitals.
