About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: PCU/Oncology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1.5 years in PCU/Oncology License: Active state RN license or compact license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, Chemo certification preferred Must-Have: - Oncology experience - Ability to pass online EKG tele competency assessment - Must float to all Stepdown/Advanced Care units Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse with experience in PCU and oncology. The position is for a night shift of 12 hours. The contract duration is 13 weeks. Candidates must work a minimum of every other holiday. Oncology experience is required, and sickle cell experience and chemo certification are preferred but not required. Applicants must have experience with a patient ratio of 1:5 or better in the Work History section. ICU experience does not count towards PCU experience. Targeted patient ratios are typically 1:4, but can be up to 1:5-6. Candidates must float to all Stepdown and Advanced Care units as assigned. Experience with the EPIC charting system is required. Travel experience is preferred, and candidates must be able to float based on census and skill sets without restrictions. Medical and radiation oncology experience is essential, as the unit specializes in caring for oncology and hematology patients. Nurses on this unit administer chemotherapy and manage various patient care skills including blood products, drips, and wound care.
