Key Responsibilities

As part of your diverse range of responsibilities, you will:

• Direct physical therapy treatment aimed at preventing disabilities, relieving pain, and enhancing muscle function in alignment with individualized care plans.
• Oversee physical therapy assistants to ensure the effective implementation of prescribed treatments.
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of clients' functional abilities through diagnostic tests related to muscle, nerve, and joint function.
• Assess home environments to provide recommendations that enhance clients' independence and ensure safe rehabilitation.
• Administer therapeutic exercises and treatments, including manual therapies such as massage and application of physical agents like heat and cold.
• Evaluate and adjust prosthetic and orthotic devices, collaborating with physicians on necessary modifications.
• Prepare clinical documentation including evaluations, care plans, and progress notes in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to develop and review comprehensive treatment plans, sharing insights and observations relevant to client care.
• Consult and educate clients and their families on all aspects of physical therapy applications, including the use of assistive devices.
• Ensure timely submission of clinical and payroll documentation according to branch policies.

Qualifications

To qualify for this role, candidates must possess:

• A valid Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) and a current physical therapy license in New Jersey.
• Strong clinical judgement and decision-making abilities with accountability in delivering patient care.
• Active CPR certification to ensure client safety.
• An energetic, compassionate approach to patient interactions, paired with excellent communication skills.
• A keen understanding of federal and state regulations governing therapy practices.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of clinical experience is required, candidates with experience in home care rehabilitation are highly encouraged to apply. Proficiency in electronic medical records, as well as familiarity with the OASIS assessment tool, is a distinct advantage in streamlining our care delivery process.
